|Year Founded/First year of football:||In 1958, Irwin/North Irwin in a joint venture with North Huntingtdon Township school create the joint Norwin School District, in 1960 a referendum approves the permanent joining of the schools./The first year of football was 1958. The head coach was Rip Sherer. In 1962, games were moved from the old Shaw site to the new Knights stadium at the high school.|
