Norwin Football Booster News (UPDATED NOVEMBER 18, 2010)

Now that we have officially entered into the post-football season, it’s time to start thinking of next year. That’s right folks! It’s already time to start thinking about next season.  December 1^st players currently in 9-11^th grade will hit the weight room, on Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday immediately following school.  Please be aware if you hear announcements for ‘Varsity’ players that announcement is for current 9^th-11^th grade players.

Early November the Boosters through a Pizza party for the Middle School Team.  Thanks to the success of Knight at the Races, the boosters were able to provide the team and managers with hoodies. The hoodies were very nice and recognize the teams accomplishment of being SECTION CHAMPS!!!  Coach Tragesser spoke with the boys about how impressed he was with their season and how glad he was able to catch some of their home games.  He also announced that all current 8^th grade players will be able to hit the field house gym at the beginning of next year.  Coach Tragesser said that the details were not complete, but to be aware that there will be a program geared towards them and there will be more information to come on it.

 The Boosters are busy planning the December 9^th banquet. Watch for your invitation in the mail.  Doors will open at 6:15, and dinner will be served at 6:45.  Prices are Adults (13 & up), $25, Children (12 & under) $15; Players in 9^th-12^th grade are paid for by the Boosters.  If you do not receive your invite in the mail by November 20^th, please send an email to norwinfootball@gmail.com .  Or, you can RSVP to Norwin Football Boosters 4257 Pine Hollow Road, Trafford PA 15085. Please include your information AND your players information (name, address, phone & current grade).

Congratulations to Tim Petro who is being recognized by KDKA with Extra Effort award. There will be an assembly on Friday Oct 20^th, 2010 to present him with the award.

Committee sign up will be available at the banquet. Anyone interested in volunteering on a committee can get more information at the banquet or at January 13^th ‘s booster meeting.  The meeting will be held in room 139 of the high school at 7:30pm. Anyone interested in getting involved is welcomed to attend the meetings.

Congratulations going out to PAL’s mighty mite team, coached by Buzz Bryan on capturing back to back championships in the Mon-Valley football league! Congratulations also going out to PAL’s termite team for making it the championship game. Coach PJ Petrarco led his team to an incredible season. They took 2^nd place over all for the season. Congratulations to the future of the knights!

Please keep in mind, when the off-season conditioning begins this is for players currently NOT involved in another sport!!
